A work of art should not come into contact with the framed glass, because condensation on the glass can cause damage. Therefore a space between glass & subject is recommended. But sometimes the use of a passe-partout is not desirable and the wooden spacers (minimum 10mm height) are too high. That is why we now offer Econospace.
Econospace are specially designed plastic spacers in 3.2mm or 6.4mm height. They are available in transparent, white or black and they are provided with a special adhesive film on one side. The spacers are easy to cut and are glued to the glass - as close to the edge as possible. As a result, they provide a perfect space between glass and subject. They fit under the nose of the frame, making them barely visible.
