The youngest of the Alfamacchine family is the T150M single mitre saw. This machine is the ideal partner for every professional picture framer. The T150M is supplied with dust collector and 120cm arms left & right. The righthand arm can be extended to 240cm (optional).

Carnival is the most colorful period of the year. And this collection shows it. Not just colors - special colors. And the finish is done with a transparant foil, giving the moulding an extra touch. Optium Museum Acrylic

Optium Museum Acrylic is unique and combines the best of both worlds: glass and acrylic. This product is imported by Cami directly from the factory in the USA. It has a number of advantages compared to traditional acrylic or glass and is recommended for:

  • anti-reflective display requirements for optimal viewing withou distracting, mirror-like reflections
  • anti-static applications including friable media (pastels, charcoal), fragile surfaces, lightweight papers, textiles
  • abrasion-resistance from minor scratches associated with frequent cleaning, high-traffic areas, and/or travelling 
  • 99% UV-protection where light is not filtered at its source, so you can display sensitive objects
  • structurally sensitive frames, large works, and/or when glass is too heavy - half the weight of glass
  • additional security, micro climates, or when breakage is a concern
  • easy cleaning - cleans like glass. Dry cleaning with microfiber cloth recommended

This product is available in 3mm in sheets of 122x244cm, or cut to size (full sheet or per piece cut to size).

STAS railkit

The STAS Railkit is a simple & inexpensive, but complete shopdisplay. It gives you the possibility to offer 7 different STAS hanging systems to your customers:
  • STAS cliprail (alu or white )
  • STAS cliprail max (alu or white) 
  • STAS J-rail (alu or white)
  • STAS u-rail (black)

The rails are 150cm long and well packed, along with all the accessories (2x perlon 150cm with cobra hook, 2x Smartspring, fitting accessories, rail connector, end cap). The railkit also contains extra blisters with perlon/Smartpring or steel wire/Zipper. Every railkit also holds consumer leaflets.

  

E-Collection : Adeline / Moonlight

Our sister company EC Mouldings introduced two new series. Moonlight is a modern alternative for the classic "matt black". On the inside a shade of silver or gold embellishes the moulding. Adeline is an imitation of the traditional elm-bur mouldings. It is available in widths from 10 to 40mm. Both series are gesso-free and they belong to the collection of eco-frames, because the durian wood is harvested from selected orchards. 

         

   

STAS shop display

STAS offers two well designed shop displays - both of them are a sales rep for your company. The STAS Minirail display shows the complete range of the world's finest picture hanging system.The STAS Multirail display holds the complete "hang & light" range. 

Every product is packed in blister and the display also holds the leaflets - so your customer can choose all by himself. 

 

KI-System - stretcher bars

There are two different types of stretcher bars for canvas. The traditional slotted system, where the manufacturer offers your cut to size stretcher bars and where the canvas can be re-tensionedby tapping on the wooden wedges. The second system are the wooden bars that you can easily cut & join like a normal frame. With this system you cannot re-tension the canvas. 

But now we present you the KI-SYSTEM - the perfect combination of both stretcher bar systems. The KI-SYSTEM is a range of 3 different shapes and a crossbar for large format canvas. You buy these profiles in lengths, you cut them like a normal frame (saw or guillotine) and finally you join them by using the special KI-SYSTEM insets. The KI-SYSTEM has unique advantages:

  • less inventory - you only have to keep maximum 4 profiles in stock to offer any size stretcher bar to your customer

  • all sizes available - you are no longer limited to the sizes you keep in stock or the sizes your supplier offers

  • quick delivery - even special sizes can be made while your customers waits 

  • lower cost - you avoid high transport charges for that special size stretcher bar you need 

  • easy joining - you only have to insert the special KI-SYSTEM inserts into each corner (manually or with a small hammer) - when using a L-shaped piece of wood as a guide, you will have a perfect 90° angle immediately

  • solid stretcher bar - the KI-SYSTEM inserts give you a strong join in each corner

Our range of solid wood mouldings already had items in ayous and pine (Natura series) and the successful Poplar series (North American Yellow Poplar). Once again Valiani surprised the picture framing business with an innovative product. All Valiani computerized matcutters (with interchangeable heads) can now add the MatStylus. This special tool will hold all types of pens and pencils and gives you the possibility to add extra decoration to your mats: lines, designs, signatures, etc... Since September 2008 Cami nv takes care of the logistics for EC Mouldings. This new company is a joint venture with E-Wood Moulding - a moulding manufacturer of Malaysia. The statement of EC Mouldings is: We bring environmentally friendly mouldings to Europe. Cami will distribute the full line of EC Mouldings (www.ecmouldings.eu) on the Benelux market. The E-Collection is a fits perfectly in between the collection of KI, Senélar and Larson-Juhl.

Two new collections in bright colour finishes: the Larson-Juhl Confetti collection and 4 new colours within the KI Collection. Both top quality, with an extra strong layer on the wood of the same colour as the top layer making it almost unnecessary to retouch. The Confetti profile is a 23x23mm cube - 15mm depth – the new KI-moulding is a 20x22mm cube - 16mm depth.

Larson-Juhl has been playing a trend setting role in our industry the latest years. They have brought new original moulding collections onto the market: new models, new finishes, new colours. This year they make no exception. With the Acropolis range, we go back to more Earthly finishes - 4 colours in 2 shapes. Its finish is raw, concrete-like.

And then there’s Malta. A pleasant variation of classic gold & silver. The nice combination of colour together with gold/silver, makes this range very modern and trendy. Ideal for all moderne art – from watercolours to all images. It’s also suitable for photo frames.

              

 

Fletcher FSC multicutter

Fletcher is the specialist if you are looking for a cutting machine for your framing business. The success of the Fletcher 3100 – the vertical cutting machine for (foam)board, MDF, glass & plexi - is the best proof. Recently they opened a new division: Fletcher Viscom. This division creates machines for a side-business: visual communication. The most important machine in its range is the Fletcher FSC. This machine resembles the 3100, but is specifically designed for cutting sturdier boards up to 160cm of height:

HotPress heated press

Since June 2007, Cami is the exclusive distributor for all Drytac/Hotpress products for the picture framing market in Belgium and Luxemburg. The famous HotPress glass top press will be available from Cami. There are 3 different sizes: 89x119cm - 109x170cm - 127x249cm. 
        
Soon we will organize together with Drytac/Hotpress several workshops for the use of laminators and heated presses. Keep an eye on this website for more news. Hang & Light hanging system
(June 2007)

       

Next to the Cami picture hanging system, we added a new superb system: Cliprail 2 Hang & Light. The cliprail is very elegant and has to be fixed to the wall. All screws will be invisible thanks to the click system. Then you can attach a perlon wire or a steel wire (with Cobra hook) into the profile. For light frames, you can use the inexpensive SmartSpring (up to 4kg). For heavy frames, you can use the Zipper (up to 10kg with the Perlon wire or up to 15kg with the steel wire). 

When you installed the invisible tension profile inside the cliprail, you can add quick and without moving wires some light to the hanging system.

 

X-High picture framing glass
(May 2007)

Glass in picture frames is needed to protect art from dust, moisture, fading and damage, but changes partly the direction of light thus disturbing the natural view and perception. Reflection and absorption of light reduce transmission of light. It consumes light at the disadvantage of the framed artwork.

 However …X-High renders the pure sensation of art !

 X-High white glass is flawless and clear and offers the ultimate perception. The nano-prismatic technology gives X-High non-glare picture glass its transparent and satin surface. The prisms guide the light through the enlarged glass surface thus reinforcing the visual perception. Obvious result: the most outstanding experience of details and genuine colours. At the same time the nano-prismatic technology of X-High glass produces deflection keeping the irritating gloss on photographs out of perception. X-High glass guarantees a pure and natural impression of the artwork from all points of view.

machine for shrink wrapping
(May 2007)

This simple machine lets you packing your frames in shrink wrapping film up to 40cm or 80cm wide, so that you can pack frames up to 70x100cm into a transparant film. The sealing bar seals the two open sides of the film and the hot air gun shrinks the film to get a nice result.

The machine is shipped with the roll support, sealing bar and hot air gun. The shrink wrapping film is available seperately.

Next to a punctual delivery & service of picture framing equipment, Cami now offers a financial service. Together with our partner BNP Paribas Lease Group, we have set up a leasing formula in which you can lease any machine (from € 1250 on). All administration (offer, contract, approval, etc...) will be taken care of by the Cami staff !

Leasing of equipment has some particular advantages:

  • Leasing is 100% financing - so you don't have to make a downpayment upon your order.
  • You don't have to advance the VAT amount.
  • Leasing is renting, so it does not block the financing of other things.
  • You can choose free between leasing during 3, 4 or 5 years, after which you finally buy the machine for a small amount.

  

Valiani - interchangeable heads
(February 2007)

            

During the spring fairs of 2007, Valiani turned the mat cutting world upside down ! From now on, all Valiani computerized matcutters will be installed with "interchangeable heads". This revolutionary technique will give you the possibility to use different cutting head on the same machine. The framer can change very quickly the cutting head, thanks to a patented magnetic system.

On every Valiani computerized matcutter you can now use these heads:

  • cutting head 40° for the finest cuts (standard)
  • cutting head 45° for a wider bevel
  • cutting head 90° for straight cuts (inside or outside)
  • embossing tool for special decorations on the matboard
  • cutting head 45° reverse for cutting from the back or cutting foamboard up to 5mm

To complete our range, 5 standard size mirrors have been added. These 4mm thick mirrors (with a 25mm bevel), are available framed in one of our 1100 mouldings. They all are of European top quality. Just order a mirror with one of the Cami mouldings and we offer you the backing board, the fitting and the hangers for free. For you as a picture framer, these mirrors can be an interesting extra product for your shop.

You certainly know the Prague series, made by Larson-Juhl. This new series (Sevilla) will continue the success of Prague. The old, raw and mediteranean finish gives you the idea you deal with antique mouldings of Southern Europe.

This manual stapler is very useful for stretching canvas or for making shadowboxes or frame combinations. This stapler uses the standard 53 staples and doesn't need air or electricity.

cutting mats in large format

They are back - the large format cutting mats ! Many picture framers use these cutting mats to protect the working bench. They are made of 3 layers, can be used on both sides and are very long lasting. The color is green and they have a print on both sides (size 90x120cm - others: printing on one side). The surface is anti-slip and the cut of your cutter will disappear like magic. The core is made of hard PVC, which makes it almost impossible to cut through the cutting mat. Therefor they are the ideal protection for your working bench.

Unfortunately the last couple of years, the size was limited to 60x90cm. But we are now changing this! From now on we can offer you the jumbo sizes again - and... at a very attractive price (up to 50% cheaper then before!):

KI Collection - classic mouldings

To the KI Collection we've addes 4 nice, large classic mouldings. The are ideal for classic framing and mirrors. The wood is a very stable hardwood. All 4 mouldings have been manually guilded, but still the price remains inexpensive!

This 1mm thick board, has a heat-activated mounting film. This gives the busy picture framer or the photographer a ready-to-use board for all types of heated presses (vacuum or mechanic). The heat-activated mounting film can be used at 85°C to 90°C. It can easily been kept among the other boards. By using this board, you don't need to stock dry mounting film. This way you will win time and sapce, which is very important for small workshops.

JetMounter laminators 
(February 2006)
For mounting and laminating prints and photos, we now offer your the electric laminators JetMounter. These inexpensive, but professional machines all have cold silicone rollers. They can be used to mount and laminate up to 65cm, 107cm or 132cm. The two largest models have a wind-up shaft that gives you extra security for laminating larger prints. Alongside these machines, Cami offers a wide range of sticky boards (board, foamboard, polystyrene) and laminating films. These machines also fit well next to a heated press. We have a JetMounter in our showroom in Oostende, ready for demonstration !

The KI Collection is constantly becoming more important. In December we added the KI Country. Six trendy light colors with a raw finish. Soon we will also add a range of 5 popular shapes in a snowwhite finish. Plexiglas MR UV-100 - scratch resistant

Plexiglas MR UV-100 is a scratch-resistant acrylic. It still has the UV-blocking capacity, blocking 99,7% of the most damaging UV-rays. The Plexiglass MR UV-100 is 3mm thick and available cut-to-measure or in full sheets of 122x244cm. 

  

Larson-Juhl - new collections

With the Ferrosa II collection, Larson-Juhl gave a new modern look to the famous Ferrosa finish. They also added Windermere, an alternative for veneer or the Ascot series. Valiani MatPro CMC
(January 2005)

computerized matcutter - top quality at the very best price! 

You already noticed that Valiani was very active the last couple of years. Several new matcutters were manufactured: in 2003 the pneumatic MatPro, in the spring of 2004 the Future GTO for mass-production and in the fall of 2004 the Future Supreme - a light version of the computerized Future. Now Valiani launches the MatPro CMC - a computerized matcutter for every picture framers budget !

The machine is based on the pneumatic MatPro, offering two different stands: a flat one (as in the picture above) or a vertical one (as for the regular MatPro). This way the machine also fits in the smallest workshops. The software of the MatPro CMC is the same as the Future, giving you the same possibilities: cutting all kinds of openings, multiple openings, V-grooves, double & triple mats, letters, etc...

We will demonstrate the MatPro CMC in our showroom in Oostende from the 28th of January 2005 on !

As an extra for the pneumatic MatPro matcutter, Valiani offers from February 2005 on a complete oval tool. This extra tool gives you the possibility to cut ovals & circles on the MatPro. It is supplied with a 45° and 90° cutting head, a pen holder and a glass cutter. 

     

Atelier Senélar
(November 2004)

The quality of the Senélar mouldings is well known for over a 100 years. Based on that success, Cami found the ideal partner to manufacture an exclusive range of handfinished frames. The collection consists of 7 different mouldings, made to measure in different finishes: hand guilded (waterbased or mixtion based Pisssaro), colored in one of the 14 exclusive colors (with or without a nice matching finish) or in one of the many RAL colors. These frames (with finished angles - coins bouchés) are available per piece made to measure within 3 weeks only. 

This collection is a Cami exclusivity !

Valiani Future Supreme
(October 2004)

Based on the success of the Future, Valiani launched a light version: Future Supreme. This CMC (computerized Mat Cutter) had the same possibilities as the normal Future:

  • possibility to cut double & triple mats, V-grooves, etc...

  • cutting of multiple shapes, which you can save in your own library

  • very user friendly software - available in 7 languages (including English)

  • etc...

The Future Supreme is about 25% cheaper then the Future. These are the differences between both machines:

  • lighter engine, where you reach about 60% of the speed of the Future

  • simpler stand, shipped in 2 parts (so now we can install the machine in smaller workshops)

  • the control panel on the machine are controlled by the software

         

Drytac
(May 2004)

Since the spring of 2004 Cami has been appointed as an official Drytac distributor for the framing market of Belgium and Luxemburg. We signed an agreement with this English manufacturer for the distribution of their mounting and laminating products for both the heated vacuum press as the roller laminators. Within the year all Seal products will gradually be replaced by their Drytac alternative items. This important deal enables us to offer you a wider range of high quality products at very interesting and competitive conditions.

Valiani MatPro 90° cutting head

Valiani completes the MatPro pneumatic matcutter (see below) by adding a 90° pneumatic cutting head. With this extra tool you can cut straight openings in your matboard. By the summer 2004 Valiani will add a oval cutting system to fit the MatPro matcutter.

Plexiglas Gallery UV-100

During the BAFTS 2003 Cami introduced a brandnew product for the picture framing market: Plexiglas Gallery UV-100. This acrylic blocks 99,7% of the most dangerous UV-rays. Therefor you can compare it with the TruVue Conservation Clear glass. 
Plexiglas has some specific advantages compared to normal float glass:

  • Plexiglas Gallery® UV-100 is 50% lighter
  • Plexiglas Gallery® UV-100 is 11x more break resistant
  • Plexiglas Gallery® UV-100 can be cut easily (e.g. with the Fletcher 3000/3100)
  • Plexiglas Gallery® UV-100 is available at Cami in 102x152cm, 152x205cm or precut

We also offer normal Plexiglas or Plexiglas Gallery® UV-100 etched on 1 side. Other Plexiglas products like boxes are also available upon request.

Jun-Air OF302 oil-free compressor

Finally ther exists a silent compressor, that can be used continuously! The new Jun-Air OF302 has an oil-free engine. Thus, the 108 litres/min engine has no need for a break after every 15 minutes of working time, as with an oil-lubricated silent compressor. This certainly guarantees you more security and reliability.

Minigraf Multi-Channel

During the BAFTS 2002 the brandnew underpinner of Alfamacchine was showed: the Minigraf Multi Channel. This state of the art machine is based on the Memory Program version and has a magazine of 6 rows of V-nails, holding 5 different heights at once in the machine: 5, 7, 10, 12 en 15mm. Switching from one height to another and firing V-nails happens extremely fast - which is quite normal for the Minigraf machines. The Minigraf Multi Channel is the ideal machine for supplier of chop-service and for big picture framers. 

        

Alfamacchine offers 1 year full waranty and 1 year extra on all mechanical parts (similar to the waranty on their other machines). On top of that the hammer has a waranty of 2 years of 1.000.000 V-nails!

Moorman ragboard - 100% coton

For many years now, Moorman Karton makes a high-quality museumboard, made of alfa-cellulose fibres. This board is ideal for many purposes, where the quality is extremely important: conservation framing, archival boxes, etc...

For certain purposes, there is now buffered and unbuffered ragboard, made of 100% coton fibres. For the buffering CaCO3 is used, while the unbuffered ragboard is used for the conservation of old black & white pictures

  • buffered ragboard:
    available in 3 colors (naturel, off white & cream) - 4 thicknesses (800, 1200, 1600 & 2000gr) - 100x120cm 
     
  • unbuffered ragboard:
    available in naturel - 3 thicknesses (400, 800 & 1200gr) - 100x120cm
